This wedding was so good!! Everything took place at Plane Castle (also known as Cockabendy Castle) and it was a medieval/rustic/quirky dream. We absolutely loved our day there with Lindsay and Simon.
Lindsay was getting ready in the tower of the castle and Simon was in the bridal room. It's always good when everyone is getting ready in the one place, it takes away the stress of getting from one location to another and just gives us so much more time to capture what's going on.
The ceremony was conducted by Melanie Leckie who, as you'll all know by now, is one of our favourite humanist celebrants.
Afterwards there was "pimp your prosecco" in the courtyard while all the guests mingled and ate the homemade buffet.
As a big surprise to the guests Melanie then brought her horse, the absolutely stunning Charlie, along for some photos. Charlie was an absolute star and posed perfectly for us!
We got some quiet time with Lindsay and Simon as we wandered around the grounds of the castle and captured their bridal portraits. The surroundings of the castle are gorgeous and very inspiring for photos. We knew we were taking home some really beautiful photographs.
Another big surprise at night time was that Simon and Lindsay were performing a choreographed routine for their first dance. We got a sneak preview as they practiced before the guests entered and we were blown away with it. After only 6 professional dance lessons and a couple of months of practice they looked amazing on the dancefloor!
Here are some of our favourites from their day:
