We had been really looking forward to this wedding and we had a fantastic time with Rachel and Tom. We woke up to a lovely spring day and headed over to Williamscriag Holiday Homes just outside of Linlithgow where Rachel was getting ready. The space was perfect for preparations and we had lovely views of some cute wee lambs springing about the fields in front of the cottages. It was a pleasure as always to work alongside Gemma from Pretty Little Faces who made the girls look absolutely stunning.
Tom was getting ready with the guys in Bo'ness and then it was on to Carriden Church for a lively upbeat ceremony. Tom had recorded his own piano version of Ed Sheeran's Thinking Out Loud for Rachel to walk down the aisle and it really made it special. The live band in the church carried all the songs along and it felt like such an enthusiastic celebration for Rachel and Tom getting married.
Everyone then made their way along to Linlithgow Burgh Halls for the reception and we had a short bridal portrait session on the grounds of Linlithgow Palace.
After dinner, the eagerly anticipated speeches were started and they certainly didn't disappoint. Rachel's dad beamed with pride and Tom gushed over his new bride but it was the best man who stole the show as he surprised everyone with a song he'd written about "Gentle Tom" - you can guess that he pretty much assasinated everyone's idea that Tom has a gentle character!
We had such a great day with everyone, and want to thank Rachel and Tom for having us along on their day; we're so happy that you love your images as much as we do and we'd like to share some of our favourites below.
