Samantha and Fraser got married at Glenskirlie House on 2 August and it was such a fantastic day.
We first met Sam when we photographed her 6 week old daughter Georgia. We had just started as Picturesque, by Mr and Mrs M and were looking for some baby models. Georgia was the very first baby in front of our camera, and we quickly became good friends with Sam as she continued to have Georgia photographed and then booked us for her wedding.
On the morning of the wedding Sam got ready at Airth Castle, and when we arrived everything was in full swing. Gemma from Pretty Little Faces was doing make up and Debbie Flood was on hair.
The whole wedding took place at Glenskirlie House, which was fantastic because it has everything you need. It's always helpful when we don't need to travel between venues as it gives us so much more photography time and the chance to capture those inbetween candid moments which everyone loves. Glenskirlie House also has a lovely garden area where we took the bridal portraits, so Sam and Fraser were never away from their guests for long.
We have to mention the wedding cake! Sam goes to Alison Cowan - Designer Cakes for all of her events, birthdays and Georgia's christening. She was very brave and only told Alison the colours she wanted and let her design the whole cake herself. Sam and Fraser completely trusted Alison with the design and didn't even see it themselves until the wedding day. Well, they were right to trust her so much because it was absolutely stunning!!
The funniest part of the day was when they played a little trick on Sam's mum. It was mentioned in the speeches how much of a rave music fan Sam was when she was younger, Scooter in particular. Sam's mum always joked that she would kill her if Scooter was their first dance......so, it was! For about 30 seconds Sam and Fraser jumped around the dance floor with glow sticks raving away to Scooter!! Sam's mum's face was a picture!! Then they calmed down into Coldplay and had a beautiful first dance. After the first dance, Sam made a lovely gesture to her mum and stepdad and played Aerosmith and asked them to take the dance floor as they didn't have a first dance themselves at their wedding. Her mum was visibly so touched by this.
Here are some of our favourites from our first wedding at Glenskirlie House.
Sam and Fraser, we really enjoyed our day with you and we wish you every happiness for the future. We really loved our first time at Glenskirlie House and would definitely look forward to going back!
